Bucks fans and Milwaukee businesses excited for another playoff run

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – The Milwaukee Bucks are in the playoffs for the sixth straight season and fans are thrilled the stag has a chance to defend last season’s NBA title and possibly bring home the Larry O’Brien Trophy. in Milwaukee.

“I’m excited! Ready for the playoffs,” said Antonio Washington, who spoke to CBS 58 outside the Fiserv Forum on Friday afternoon April 1 after buying a new Bucks hat at the Pro Shop in the team. “I’m more than confident. They’re going to do it. We’re going to do a second. Repeat.”

The Bucks clinched a playoff berth after Thursday night’s overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets on March 31.

The team will return to the field at the Fiserv Forum on Friday night to face the Los Angeles Clippers. The Caden brothers and Gavin Radmer traveled to northern Illinois with their father to watch the game.

“We get hate at school from all the Bears and Bulls fans, but we don’t care,” the brothers said. “We have winning teams.”

The brothers hope the winning ways continue for the Bucks and the team can clinch the number one seed for the playoffs, which means more home games in Milwaukee.

This means on-field advantage for teams and more opportunities for fans to patronize local businesses around the Deer district, including Major Goolsby’s.

“Any extra playoff game for any home team is great,” said Major Goolsby general manager Mary Petricca. “The little extra level of excitement is always great. We always have a great atmosphere for all the fans. Just them, even if they can’t get a ticket for the game, watch the games on our TVs or video walls is really fun.”

The NBA playoffs are scheduled to begin on Saturday, April 16.
