The Ohio State University has been known as an NFL factory for some time. The Buckeyes produce some of the best talent year after year. In fact, since the year 2000, Ohio State has had more players taken in the NFL Draft than any other team with 157 players drafted. At No. 2 is Alabama with 144.
The NFL is all about money and part of that cash flow comes from jersey sales. The NFLPA has released its ranking of the top 50 jerseys sold in 2021-22 and as you’d expect, former Buckeyes are scattered throughout the list. Four to be exact and a fifth if you want to add Joe Burrow who came in at No. 4 on the list.
Topping the list of most popular jerseys were:
No. 8 – Justin Fields, Chicago Bears.
No. 16 – Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys.
No. 23 – Nick Bosa, San Francisco 49ers.
No. 42 – Chase Young, Washington Commanders.

Could any other Buckeye names make it to this list in the years to come? We’d say there’s a good chance after Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave were first-round picks in the last draft.
One thing is for sure… Ohio State is well represented in the league and fans and facts back the former Buckeyes’ popularity and prowess across the country.
