NC State Football invites Wolfpack Nation to VE DAY



RALEIGH, North Carolina – One of the highlights of the year for the NC State football team is the day it hosts Victory Day. Held in conjunction with GiGi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome Success Center in Raleigh, Victory Day gives young people with cognitive and physical disabilities the opportunity to spend some time in the sun.

This year the team would like to invite Wolfpack Nation to join them for this special event on Friday August 5th at Carter-Finley Stadium. The South Hall will open at 6 p.m. for fun and games and VE Day will begin at 7 p.m. VE Day is free for fans of all ages.

About 50 participants will have the chance to be a football star for the night. They’ll try on uniforms, meet the players and coaches, enter Carter-Finley Stadium individually through the tunnel, drill with the players, and have a chance to score a touchdown.

As well as helping to cheer on attendees, there will be a variety of other fun activities for fans of all ages, including inflatables, interactive stations, concessions, liquor sales, photo ops and Moreover.

From 6-7 p.m., Team 2022 members will be in the lobby to participate in some of the interactive stations before field activities begin.

After VE Day, fans are invited to stay for a fireworks display at 8:45 p.m.

Fans wishing to attend this event should enter through Gate C to park in the west parking lot or Gate B to park in the east parking lot. Stadium Gates 4 and 7 will be open for fans to enter Carter-Finley Stadium. The football team is asking everyone in attendance to sit around the south tunnel to help encourage entries.
