PC Rev 2 edition to receive Rollback netcode update

Beta testing will begin next month

Some very fun news for the Guilty Equipment faithful this weekend, as Arc System Works has announced that it will retroactively add the rollback netcode to the PC edition of its previous release Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2. No date has been announced for the technology upgrade, but beta testing will begin in late October.

To clarify, this is not the current one GG Title, Guilty Equipment Effortwho gets the update (this game is already has rollback netcode), but the previous version of the series, which still has a dedicated player base due to… well… it was just a great fighter at launch and remains so to this day. Spare a thought for all those Jam and Elphelt players, for example, still sitting patiently waiting for their respective hands to make the leap to the GG strive listing.

It’s really good to see the developer modernizing their older releases with newer technology – it helps keep these titles alive for dedicated gamers who play multiple GG games competitively or don’t quite feel the release. of the last days. The netcode rollback beta test will be open to all players on Steam, so just keep the game installed and stay tuned for more details.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2 and Guilty Equipment Effort are available now on PlayStation and PC platforms.
