Pickleball Kingdom opens largest indoor facility in Chandler

pickleball kingdom opened on May 2, 2022. The 15-court facility is the first dedicated indoor pickleball facility in Arizona and one of the largest in the nation. It sports outdoor surfaces that pickleball players know and love with all the benefits of playing indoors. Specialized AC ducts remove heat and wind from outdoor courts. Sport-specific lighting illuminates the courts without the negative effects of the sun on the game and on the players. And Pickleball Kingdom’s free app, which allows players to reserve a court, eliminates the wait for a court that typically takes up most of a player’s time.

“We are thrilled that Pickleball Kingdom has opened its doors in West Chandler,” said Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. “Transforming a large-area gymnasium into 15 indoor pickleball courts is a great healthy, indoor exercise option for our Chandler residents.”

It’s hot outside ! With the summer heat on the way, the window of opportunity to play on public courts is virtually non-existent. With so many people competing to play the courts early in the morning or after sunset, the wait times make the experience less appealing.

“Playing in triple-digit weather conditions is not good for your game, or your health,” says Mike Rodrigues, Founder and CEO of Pickleball Kingdom. “We invite all Arizonans to come and play America’s fastest growing sport within the air-conditioned walls of Pickleball Kingdom.”

Pickleball Kingdom is launching a new initiative to introduce pickleball to everyone. Pickleball 101 is a free course for the public, whether they are a member or not. It is an introduction to the sport, an overview of the rules and coaching on the basic principles of the game.

“At Kingdom, we believe pickleball is good for you physically, socially and spiritually,” Rodrigues says. “We want everyone to participate in the game. The reason most people haven’t tried the sport yet is either they don’t know anyone who will teach them, they don’t have the equipment, or they don’t know where to go. As ambassadors of the sport, we have decided to eliminate all these barriers in this great sport of ours! We offer a free Pickleball 101 class most days of the week. Anyone can go to our website and follow the link to register for a lesson time that suits them. We have highly qualified coaches to teach them, we provide the paddles and balls for our students, and they will play on Pickleball Kingdom’s custom-colored courts. All they have to do is show up with tennis or sneakers. I would like to personally invite everyone to sign up for one of our free courses and find out what all your friends are addicted to.
