Steelers set to open Hall of Honor Museum


As part of the annual Hall of Honor weekend, the Steelers Hall of Honor Museum is set to open to the public on November 11, it was announced on Tuesday.

The Hall of Honor Museum follows a chronological flow of Steelers history focusing on key moments and people who made history. There are life-size player mannequins, unique artifacts, pieces of exclusive game-worn uniforms, reproduced desks of founder Art Rooney Sr. and Daniel M. Rooney, the Steelers’ six Super Bowl rings, and touch screen information. booths that include bios, photos and videos about Hall of Honor inductees and Steelers history.

Fan-friendly interactions include photo opportunities, a replica radio booth where visitors can record their call from the Steelers’ most historic games, and a place where fans can see where they go up against current and former players of the team. The exhibit also includes the Hall of Honor, a powerful display of the steel soccer balls given to inductees. There is also a changing gallery to allow new stories to be told.

The Steelers Hall of Honor Museum is located above the team’s Pro Shop at Acrisure Stadium and accessible via the Gate B suite entrance. Fans can tour the Steelers Hall of Honor Museum year-round from 11 a.m. at 4 p.m., Wednesday through Monday. (Closed Tuesdays, days and times subject to change.) Tour fees are as follows: Adults – $18, Seniors (62+)/Military – $15, Children (6-17) – $12, and Children 5 and under – free. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Art Rooney Scholarship Fund

The Hall of Honor class of 2022 – which includes Heath Miller, Myron Cope, Sam Davis and Ray Matthews – as well as Louis Lipps of the class of 2021 will be honored at the Steelers Hall of Honor induction dinner to be held at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday , November 12, at Club UPMC at Acrisure Stadium. The Class of 2022 will also be honored at halftime of the team’s game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, November 13.
