WESTERN COAST Open public ice rink

â–  The Concord Public Library is offering to make your own t-shirt tote bags for teens and tweens (ages 10-17) tomorrow night at 6 pm. Do you have old t-shirts that you like but don’t fit anymore? Don’t throw them away! Bring them to the library and learn how to make seamless t-shirt tote bags! No need to register, but places are limited. For more information, call (603) 225-8670.

â–  Public skating is available at the Everett Arena. Skating hours will be Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (closed at Christmas). Admission is $ 6 for those 14 and over, $ 5 for those 13 and under and children three and under are free. Skate rentals will be available in the pro shop for $ 5. Skate rentals and walking aids (in limited quantities) will be thoroughly disinfected after each use upon return to the Pro Shop. For more information, call (603) 228-2784.

â–  During the holidays, the Merrimack County SPCA Pope Memorial needs items on their wish list to help the homeless animals in their care. Donations can be taken to the shelter or Sandy’s Pet Food Center. Items needed include durable dog toys, paper towels, Lysol wipes, and cat beds. Stretch your muscles, increase your coordination, confidence and flexibility with gentle exercises, stretches and movements. Seniors of all ages and levels of physical ability are encouraged to try this gentle exercise class. You can use a chair for more stability. The cost is free! You must register in advance. â–  Join a virtual and interactive cooking class to make chocolate caramel croissant bread pudding. It’s a sweet and flaky treat on Tuesday at 7 p.m.! The course will include some insider tips and tricks to improve your results. You’ll also have direct access to chefs and Breville support to ask questions, receive real-time responses, and the ability to be in front of the camera to really heighten the fun. â–  WICX 102.7 Hope FM has a gift for you. On Friday and Saturday (Christmas Eve and Day) at 6 p.m., they will present an encore Christmas presentation at the Cathedral. Listen to glorious seasonal and sacred music under the direction of Maestro Eric Bermani. The second part will be extracts from Handel’s Messiah. â–  Municipal offices will be closed on Friday for Christmas Day. Waste and recycling collection will not be postponed. Since the statutory holiday takes place on weekends, the collection will follow its regular schedule throughout the week. The Concord transfer station will close at noon on Friday and will be closed on Saturday for Christmas. Happy Holidays!
